When going away for the summer holidays
During summer, it’s not hot in every part of the country. With the green trees and thick shades, graceful lotuses and the scent of jasmine flower, summer brings people a sense of calmness and coolness. The soft beach, blue sea water and the gentle sea breeze are a paradise for holidaymakers. The pinewood, sea of clouds, waterfalls, springs and the mountain breeze make good places for a summer getaway. People living in the countryside get up in the mornings to do some farm work before retiring in the evening to watch tv in their yards. Urbanites on the other hand prefer to go shopping or visit the cinemas, drink cool beverages and take the air-conditioned coach and so on in the evening.
Sunstroke Prevention
In summer, sunstroke prevention is a repeated topic. Yardmen, the old, the infant and the patient are the most susceptible to sunstrokes. In fact, sunstroke can be overwhelming. But preventative measures can be taken by drinking tea and mung bean soup as much as possible, taking much insipid food, bathing and changing clothes frequently, getting enough sleep, taking sun-proof measures, no excessive activities, avoiding to exercise at noon, balancing the work and rest, and paying attention to the “high temperature alarm“, “sunstroke index” and “UV rays index” from the meteorological department and so on.
Summer Holidays
Though it is quite hot during the Minor Heat, students are looking forward to it because it’s the begin of summer holidays. Swimming is an important sports in summer but backpacking is also a favorite among university and high school students. The beach and mountain landscape in the North China are their first choice. Their laughers and voices break the tranquility of the landscape.
Tips: You should swim in the pool rather in the unsafe waters. Get weather information before travelling and pay attention to areas which have been affected by flood and mud rocks as a result from rainstorms. Safety should be your top priority as you travel to rainy scenic spots such as the West of Sichuan Province, Northwest of Yunnan Province and West of Guangxi Province.
